MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A man was shot in the stomach during an armed robbery at a shop in Adriaans Avenue, KwaNonqaba, last night.
The victim is in a stable condition in George Provincial Hospital, where the bullet can be removed.
The robbery took place during load shedding. Five men entered the shop at 17:50. Two were armed.
The robbers escaped with R12 000 in cash and a large number of cartons of cigarettes, police spokesperson Warrant Officer Pieter Koekemoer said.
He said no further details could be given at this stage as it would jeopardise the investigation.
