MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality will be hosting its annual Wellness Event for its employees on 26 May in the town hall, Mossel Bay.
The Wellness Event will include exhibitions on health and finance.
Providers of healthcare and financial institutions are invited to participate in the event on 26 May by means of exhibiting/displaying their products or services.
The purpose of this event is to demonstrate the municipality's commitment to employee wellness and to raise awareness among employees of the benefits of physical, emotional and financial wellness.

Mayoral hike
The first Mayoral Hike took place in October 2022.
The executive mayor, Alderman Dirk Kotzé, championed this hike to encourage residents to pursue healthy living and in doing so, take ownership of Mossel Bay's many attractions, including hiking trails such as the iconic St Blaize Trail.
The next hike takes place on Saturday, 15 April. It will be a beach walk in Glentana and all participants will gather at the beach at 07:30. Confirm your attendance with Aydn Parrott (aparrott@mosselbay.gov.za).
Mossel Bay Arts Festival
The first ever Mossel Bay Arts Festival, facilitated and endorsed by the Mossel Bay Municipality, is in its planning phase. The first meeting will take place on 13 April at 14:30 in the municipal council chambers, 101 Marsh Street at 14:30.

Save the date
This year's Mossel Bay Sport and Recreation Festival is also in its planning phase.
The event is now in its eleventh year and will be hosted in September and October. The first planning meeting for the event takes place on Thursday, 4 May at 14:00 in the council chambers of the Mossel Bay Municipality, 101 Marsh Street.
The Sports and Recreation Festival is coordinated by the Municipality.
The aims are to encourage a healthy lifestyle, promote sport and recreation and market our town and local tourism.
Participating sports organisations or clubs each organise their own events during the Sport and Recreation Festival.
