MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The KwaNonqaba Police ask the public's assistance in tracing the identity of the driver of a white, fairly new Volkswagen Jetta that was involved in a fatal accident on the Gouritz River bridge on Monday night. 

Earlier was reported that the driver of the George-registered white Jetta was a man from Sedgefield, based on information on the relevant system. This information has since been proven as incorrect. 

The spokesperson of the KwaNonqaba Police, Sgt Kapp appeals to the public to notify the investigating officer, Sgt Mentoor, if a relative or friend has not arrived at his intended destination.

"The accident occurred at approximately 21:00 on Monday night. The Jetta travelled on the N2 in the direction of Cape Town when the fatal crash occurred. 

Please contact Sgt Mentoor (044 606 5600) with any information that may assist in identifying the victim."
