MOSSEL BAY NEWS - For some time, it has been noted that the community desires to have a more definitive say in the Dias Festival. 

Therefore, the Mossel Bay Municipality invites the community to have their say on a preferred date for the annual Dias Festival.

Mossel Bay hosts several annual town festivals with the intention to stimulate the local economy. Additional to this, the municipality seeks to nurture and expand on the cultural ties that have been fostered over the years with the international community, and to promote tourism to the region.

Next year, 2021, marks the tenth annual Dias Festival hosted by the Mossel Bay municipality.

In keeping with the municipality's policy of being a participatory local government, the community's opinion on the most suitable date for the Dias Festival is important.

The municipality therefore invites members of the community to participate in an on-line poll to have their say on the matter.

Please visit the Mossel Bay Municipality facebook page, click on the link and indicate your preference of the most suitable date for the Dias Festival. The poll will be open only for the weekend, starting on Friday, 28 February at 14:00 and ending on Sunday, 1 March at 20:00.

Once the research results are collated, the logistics, and other practical arrangements will be investigated before the matter will serve before the Council for a definitive decision.
