MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Former Station Commander of the Da Gamaskop Police, Col Zolile Garret Douse, who served in Mossel Bay from October 2015 to December 2016, died in hospital on Friday, 24 July.
Colonel Douse, after leaving Mossel Bay, took command of the Kamesh Police Station, Uitenhage.
According to information, Col Douse was admitted to the Netcare Cuyler Hospital three weeks ago, where he died on Friday.
“Our hearts go out to his wife, his children and family during this very difficult time. Our deepest sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with them,” former colleagues commented. Col Douse hails from Jansenville and joined the SAPS in 1983. He served many of his years in service in the Eastern Cape.
