MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The countdown to the International Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (IBFF) Southern Cape Spring Classic on 25 September, has begun.
Organiser, Rochelle Smit, Mossel Bay's very own over 40 IBFF SA champion and former world champion, reports that the athletes are as excited about giving their best on stage for the spectators.
The easing of lockdown regulations to alert level 2, was welcomed by those wishing to attend the Spring Classic.
Exciting new categories in the line-up this year are those for boys and girls aged five to eight, nine to 11 and 12 to 14 years. They will be competing from 08:00 on 25 September, when the live judging will take place. The adults will have their turn from 13:00. Another addition in this year's event is the category for disabled athletes.
"I wish to develop a love and appreciation for the art of bodybuilding in our community, especially among the younger athletes and disabled athletes."
Registration takes place on 24 September.
