MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The community, as well all stakeholders and partners of the Department of Correctional Services in Mossel Bay are invited to a public Victim-Offender Dialogue (VOD) session and parole board imbizo with the Deputy Minister of Correctional Services this week.
The proceedings will focus on the participation by victims of crime during parole board sittings as well as the processes, procedures and impact of VOD.
The victims of crime as well as members of the community will also be afforded the opportunity to participate by directing questions to a panel of members from the parole board, community corrections as well as VOD specialists.
The event takes place on 16 October at the George Correctional Services Sports Field and starts at 11:00. Registration is at 10:30.
