MOSSEL BAY NEWS - As part of a nationwide initiative, a ceremony was held on Saturday, 15 May, to mourn the death of Yolandi Botes, who lived in Dana Bay in Mossel Bay.
Botes went missing on 26 April in Johannesburg after having booked an e-taxi. She had flown from George to Johannesburg.
Body parts of Botes were later found in the Vaal River at Villiers in the Free State.

In Mossel Bay the DA Women's Network asked permission from the family to hold the ceremony at the Point in Mossel Bay. A group of people gathered at 17:00 and distributed flowers and candles among themselves.
A prayer was said by Mossel Bay DA Women's Network chair Rosina Ruiters and the flowers were cast into the sea in memory of Botes.
