MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Fighting between rival gangs in KwaNonqaba over the past weekend unfortunately made its way on to school grounds at Indwe Secondary School on Monday.
According to the spokesperson of the Western Cape Education Department, Bronagh Hammond, the principal reported the incident to the Safe Schools directorate.
According to information received from the community, rival groups were involved in a knife fight on the school grounds.
Hammond confirmed that one Grade 10 learner was taken to hospital. He was allegedly stabbed in the arm and is recovering.
The school governing body was investigating the matter and would take the necessary disciplinary steps, she added.
