MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Municipality in its quest to improve universal access, thus ensuring an enjoyable beach experience to all visitors during the festive season, offers custom a built beach chair for the disabled. 

The beach chair and access mat were implemented in November 2022 and has since been used by several persons with disabilities during their visit to Mossel Bay.

During the upcoming summer holiday, the chair will once again be available. The facility must be booked well in advance, may only be used when sea conditions are favourable and whilst lifeguards are on duty between 09:00 and 18:00 between 1 December 2023 to 31 January 2024. 

The facility will be made available at Santos Beach (a Blue Flag beach) only this season.
