WESTERN CAPE NEWS - The Western Cape Health Department said in a statement today (Tuesday 27 July) that the demand for vaccination this week temporarily outstrips its vaccine capacity at many sites.
The 96 000 vaccines that the Western Cape has received for this week for public sites must also include the vaccination of those coming for their second doses.
The department however states that everyone who has registered will be vaccinated in due course.
There has been enormous excitement and eagerness for people to get vaccinated as new age bands are added.
It is anticipated that more vaccines will be made available to provinces and the department has been assured that the general supply of vaccines will show a positive increase from next week.
