BUSINESS NEWS - Sub-contracts for the periodic maintenance (repair and reseal) on National Route 2 section 6 from Dekriet (km 25.40) to Gouritz River (km 53.00) and the periodic maintenance (repair and reseal) on national route 2 section 6 from Gouritz (km 53.00) to Mossel Bay west (km 82.50)

Tender Notice: Closing date Thursday 1 February 2024.

Damians Contractors Civil invites experienced EME and QSE Targeted Enterprises to a tender briefing session for Contract N.002-057-2023/1 SC1-SC5 FOR THE ROUTINE ROAD MAINTENANCE OF NATIONAL ROUTE 2 SECTIONS 5 TO 7 FROM RIETKUILOUTSPAN (KM 26.55) TO RONDEHEUWEL (KM 3.44).

The project is in the Hessequa and Mossel Bay Local Municipalities within the Garden Route District Municipality in the Western Cape Province.

Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted area, namely the Hessequa and Mossel Bay Local Municipalities, as well as the CIDB grades and classes indicated for each sub-contract package. This tender will be evaluated in terms of functionality as a criterion and the price and preference points system. Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:

B-BBEE Level 1 or 2 contributor.

Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE).

Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).

Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in the relevant contractor grade and class designation.

An award will only be made to preferred Tenderers that are:

Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COID); and

Tax Compliant.

Note to Tenderers:

Damians Contractors Civil will reserve the right to negotiate feasible rates with the preferred tenderers if necessary.

Tenderers may submit tenders for all sub-contracts in this Tender Notice, but only 1 (one) subcontract will be let per preferred Tenderer at any one time for this project.

TENDER BRIEFING

Compulsory information briefing meetings and a training session will take place at Mossel bay Town Hall, 101 Marsh Street, Mossel bay Central on Thursday 18^th January 2024. For CIDB 1 to 2 CE at 10h00am and for CIDB 3 to 5 CE at 12h00pm.where prospective Tenderers shall meet the Contractor.

Tenderers must be represented at the information compulsory briefing meeting by a representative who must be the Tenderer himself or an authorised person in the direct employment of the Tenderer.

SUBCONTRACT TENDER DOCUMENTS

At no cost in electronic format via e-mail to those who attended the tender briefing or downloadable from the SANRAL website on the Electronic Supply Development Desk portal https://sanralesdd.co.za on Thursday 18^th January 2024. The file will contain an electronic copy of the tender document in WORD format and Bill of Quantities in EXCEL format. Volume 3 will be a bound signed paper copy containing the following documents, returnable schedules relevant to the project and Pricing Data.

Electronic submission (USB Flash Drive) the 1st file in pdf format which contains a scanned copy of Form of Offer (pdf), scanned copies of all returnable schedules and attachments (pdf), scanned copy of Pricing Schedule (pdf). The 2nd file in Excel format which contains Completed pricing schedule (xls).

Late arrivals to the compulsory information briefing meeting will not be allowed access, and therefore will not be allowed to submit a tender. Such tenders received, shall be deemed non-responsive.

CLOSING TIME, COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS

The tender and supporting documents shall be sealed in an envelope and clearly marked:

And shall be hand delivered by hand to 5 Sandhoogte Street, Groot Brakrivier, 6525 between the hours 09:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday up until the closing date. Thursday 1^st February 2024 at 10:00am
