MOSSEL BAY BUSINESS NEWS - The growth of affordable broadband connectivity is key to social and economic development.
Route Fibre Networks is currently in the process of rolling out fibre to the following areas in Mossel Bay: Seemeeu Park, Reebok, Voorbaai, Diaz, Island View and Tergniet.
These communities will soon be able to experience world class fibre internet services at a fraction of the cost compared to alternative internet solutions accompanied by greater throughput and reliability.
Here is what residents can expect during the trenching phase of the roll out process:
Route Fibre Networks will be deploying our Fibre To The Home (FTTH) and Fibre To The Business (FTTB) network in the following suburbs: Seemeeu Park, Reebok, Voorbaai, Diaz, Island View and Tergniet. Our contractor, Level Up Connect will be conducting the civil work in these areas over the next 6 -10 weeks. During the rollout, we endeavor to keep the area as neat and as tidy as possible and apologize upfront for any inconvenience.
A detailed description of the process follows:
Trenching:
The trenching happens 1.2m from the property boundary wall in front of your property, on council land. This trench line is on average 450mm wide. We will then lay the fibre ducts that will house and protect the fibre in these trenches.
The holes generally have a width and depth of 600mm in measurement. On the same day that we install the ducts and manholes, we fill the trench line and the holes in order to make it safe for public use. We will also start with the temporary reinstatement of driveway paving to enable the use of your driveway as soon as possible.
Please note that the team’s trench in excess of 1000m per day, so please don’t feel that we have left your property as-is and have moved on. Route Fibre Networks will also have a representative and Site Liaison Officer in the areas we are actively building our fibre network to which issues and concerns can be reported to directly for resolution.
Reinstatement:
The next phase of the process Route Fibre Networks will then commence with reinstatement once the trenching is complete. They will remove any rubble as soon as possible and will start the final tar and paving reinstatement of driveways. During this stage, we replace any pavements we have opened and will perform a general clean-up of the area. Please be patient with our team as it might take a few days to get to your property.
Once we have completed each section, the Route Fibre Networks and Level Up Connect management team will inspect the work that has been completed. Once Route Fibre Networks is satisfied with the work carried out, we then arrange for the local municipality to inspect the work in order to receive final sign-off and confirmation that they are satisfied with the work completed.
NB: During this process, there is absolutely no cost to you, the residents and homeowners, for any of the trenching, reinstatement work that we undertake and the promotional FREE fibre home drop installation.
