BUSINESS NEWS - Founded in 2015 by Adriaan Louw, Louwkul Design Lab is part of a vision to establish a multi-disciplinary design studio.
Having had experience in several scales of the design spectrum, Louw felt the need to create a platform that would guide clients through every stage of a project, curating the entire design and construction experience.
The company has been involved in several upmarket residential projects in Pretoria and the Western Cape, positioning itself strategically to assist clients who form part of the semigration trend to the coast of Southern Africa.
“It is the ideology of Louwkul to apply design in such a way that it becomes relatable, appropriate and concerned with its context, climate and culture,” says Louw.
The team of six has a range of skills extending beyond architecture into interior design, heritage conservation, graphic design, marketing, photography, and furniture design.
They do not only offer architectural services, but believe in a holistic approach to guiding clients from concept to completion.
“It is the vision to become more involved with the shaping of the built environment and the investigation of small-scale architecture as interventions for change,” Louw says.
