MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Rap artist Dané Prins, who goes by the stage name, Onblusbaar (irrepressible), has released a new song, Maak of jy mal is.
The song deals with the subject of the loss of a friendship and challenges during her teenage years.
Giving her rationale behind the song, she notes that peer pressure is a tough reality for the youth.
She says she was abandoned by a friend.
As always with Onblusbaar's lyrics, there is a deep message.

Onblusbaar, who is part of a close-knit family, says this is one of her mother's sayings, meaning: "Don't let anything get you down. If you want to do something, go for it. Life begins outside of your comfort zone."

The rapper also notes that you should not remain hurt by experiences.
You should try to get over them and move on.
She says she "hopes to foster understanding and tell those who have endured similar pain, such as the loss of a friend, to recognise that they are not alone".
One of the lines in the song is: "God is in beheer."
Onblusbaar says: "Realise that God is in control and He has the final say." The song has a predominantly techno, synthesised sound - in a good way.
Onblusbaar studied sound engineering. Although she comes across as a tough cookie, she has a sweet, feminine voice.
