KNYSNA ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - As winter begins to thaw and spring begins to unravel its bright green colours, three live music shows are lined up to sing in the change of season.
These shows will come courtesy of local event organisers Better Live and will be hosted at Blend Country Restaurant.
Things will begin heating up when festivities kick off with Ard Matthews and Arno Carstens on Saturday 26 August.
While no strangers to performing in Knysna, this will be the first time that Matthews and Carstens share a stage in the town.
Matthews (Just Jinger) and Carstens (Springbok Nude Girls) will perform songs from their solo careers, as well as tributes to the bands which launched them to fame – an evening of music that shouldn't be missed for anything.
On Saturday 2 September, Michael Canfield and "AuldField" (the Robin Auld and Wendy Oldfield duo) take to the stage to bring you another double-bill show.
Expect some world-class tunes from US veteran drumming legend Canfield, Auld's iconic blues-slide guitar and vocals, and topped with the honeyed voice of Oldfield.

"Robin has been touring the Garden Route for as long as I can remember, and always puts on a great show," said Dominic Morel of Better Live. "And Michael has played at four Knysna Blues Festivals, as well as performing numerous solo shows and tributes... he's an absolute blast of fun!" Now, with the addition of Wendy Oldfield, things are bound to turn into one heck of a time.
To complete the Spring-centric line-up, Better Live and Blend again team up to present their second "FUN"draiser for local charity Knysna Animal Welfare Society (Kaws) on Saturday 9 September.
The first fundraising show in June sold out in record time and raised close on R20 000, with folks enjoying 80s-themed music long into the night.
This time organisers have decided to ramp it up with Mike & the Harmonix's Legends for Kaws show: a seven-piece live band performing hits of the most iconic international artists of all time, including Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Freddy Mercury, Elton John, Bob Marley and many more...

The evening, while focused on raising money for the charity, is set to be more of the same fun, great food, prizes and lucky draws, while dancing the night away to your favourite hits all the way through from the 60s to the late 90s.
Tickets for all of the shows are available on quicket.co.za or from Blend Country Restaurant. "Legends for Kaws" tickets are also available at Knysna Animal Welfare and the Kaws Charity Shop.
