MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay's accomplished rapper Dané Prins, who sings under the stage name, Onblusbaar, has released a new single, called Happy.
Indeed, it does have a happy, lilting melody, but Onblusbaar also discusses the obstacles to being happy in her song.
Developing rapidly

Onblusbaar has a number of credits to her name already.
Performances
She has performed at the KKNK arts festival in Oudtshoorn, at the Dias Festival in Mossel Bay for three years in a row and at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
This month she will be performing during the Matla Abana Anti-Bullying School Tour.
Competitions
In terms of competitions, she made the Mossel Bay’s Got Talent top five in 2017.
In 2018, in Mossel Bay, she was the D’Almeida Gaatjie Rap Competition winner and the Maverix Underdog Singing Competition runner-up.
In 2021 she received an International Arts Talent Showcase (IATS) audition call-back to compete in the International Modelling and Talent Association (IMTA) competition
Last year she competed in the ATKV-Crescendo competition in Mossel Bay.
Radio stations
In 2020 her song, mev Corona, was played on radio stations including Eden FM, as part of Mossel Bay Municipality's Covid awareness campaigns.
Her song, Jah Brah, has also been played on radio.
Onblusbaar, who attended Curro Mossel Bay independent school, studied sound engineering and recently qualified as a sound engineer.
