MOSSEL BAY ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The Garden Route performers, Carpe Musicam! Orchestra and Choir, are gearing up for their spring concert series, Movies, Musicals ... and Magic!
The performance will showcase the best of the 20th and 21st century film and show music, including selections from the music from ABBA, Pirates of the Caribbean and Forrest Gump. Also on offer will be a Dixieland-flavoured Bare Necessities, and rock classic, Bohemian Rhapsody.
The highlight of the event will be a new medley from Les Misérables, featuring four soloists, a full choir and orchestra.
There will be three performances of the concert, with the first one in Mossel Bay on Saturday, 14 September, at 19:00 at the Dias Museum.
The second one will be on Sunday, 15 September (15:30) at the Dutch Reformed Church hall in Hoopoe Street, Sedgefield.
Tickets cost R100 (adults) for both of these events and will only be available at the door on the day of the show from 18:00 and 14:30 respectively (cash only). Children under 18 can enjoy the concert in Mossel Bay and Sedgefield for free.
The last performance will be in George on Sunday, 22 September at 15:30 at the George Arts Theatre. Tickets cost R120 (adults) and R60 (learners) and are available through Computicket and also at the theatre. The coffee shop and bar will be open before the show.
