GREAT BRAK NEWS - It will be cabaret time in Great Brak soon.
Each year a cabaret is held in the town to raise funds for charities.
This year cabaret fans can look forward to the Night of the Suiderkruis Stars.
Tickets can be bought at https://tinyurl. com/GBC-2025.
The cabaret takes place at De Dekke Restaurant on 29 and 30 May and the organisers promise unforgettable nights in support of two vital causes: CAWS 4 PAWS animal welfare charity and the Child Welfare SA Great Brak branch.
"This year’s theme, Night of the Suiderkruis Stars, promises glitter, glamour and goosebumps as local legends and exciting newcomers light up the stage," the organisers say.
The 2025 line-up:
• Jannie Moolman – our headliner with a voice as big as the night sky. • Zanah-Lee Stanley – back by popular demand. • Anton Bouwer – that deep, beautiful bass you won’t forget. • Will Lass and Breyten Treurnicht – fresh talent with star power. • Franco Engelbrecht and band – with Jewlin Jonkers on drums and Eckardt Muller on bass. "This will all be directed (and voiced) by the fabulous Petronel Baard," say the organisers.
The fun and flair of the community performers:
• Lirian Alencar-Marx brings the fire with her Latin Fusion. • Lirian & The Grannies (Lettie Swanepoel & Cesserien Booyens) will have you in stitches. • The fabulous Stardust Ladies will dazzle with their dancing. • Elvis (Feff Gericke) and Marilyn (Wendy Malan) make a glamorous comeback. • Local legend Dave Robbins brings the laughs with The Old Man in Black . • And more surprise acts to keep you on your toes.
Last year’s opening night sold out fast, so don’t miss out.
