MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - A music video for the band Droomsindroom was filmed in Mossel Bay and the video was released last week.
VIDEO: See the video here
It features the two brothers who make up the band, Kirsten and Kyle Schlebusch and a “surfer girl”, Chanel Shaw, who was born and bred in Mossel Bay.
The song is called Good Girl.
The video starts with the two brothers sitting in a car at the beach, saying how much they like Mossel Bay and how good it would be if there were some surfers around.

They are delighted when a red VW Beetle turns up and a young, blonde lady surfer gets out.
The song is an easy to listen to, cheerful ditty with a good beat.
Chanel is probably the best choice for the video, which features Dias Beach, The Point area including the St Blaize lighthouse and cave and a coffee shop in Marsh Street.
She moved through the ranks of lifesaving in Mossel Bay, starting off as a Nipper and is excellent at watersports.
She is currently studying in Cape Town.
Lifesaving
The Mossel Bay Surf Lifesaving Club premises can clearly be seen at Dias Beach in the video.
Chanel breezes through the video with aplomb, looking confident and distinctly out of the two men's league.
She even surfs beautifully in the video.
Luc Prinsloo of WayOut Studios was the cinematographer.
Caitlin Strydom was the director and the camera assistants were Christiaan Stopforth and Nelis du Plessis.
There is an element of humour, with the two brothers goofing off and playing a ukulele.
Droomsindroom, of Pretoria, put a post on social media and Mossel Bay's WayOut Studios saw it and offered to shoot the music video for the band for free.
Prinsloo said: “We spent two days filming the video.”
Droomsindroom made their debut in 2022, with their hit single, Hey Sonneblom. The brothers released their first album in September 2022, named Aansteeklik, and it consists of five tracks.
