GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - A double bill tribute will make audiences sit up and listen.
Enjoy a tribute to The Shadows and a tribute to Neil Diamond in one show.
One of the Southern Cape’s best known and loved bands, Splash will vow you with a magnificent double tribute to these famous artists.
Lead singer Fef Gericke has become a legend with his Neil Dia-mond songs.
The band was formed in 1986 and a decade later they decided that enough was enough and they broke up. The band members went their own way and started playing with other artists. At some stage Calie Henn and Freddie Muller played under the name of Fagan and Calie and Ben Bouwer became known as the Woonstel Broers.
Less than two years later they were asked to do a once only show with the whole band at the Barnyard in Mossel Bay.
This was a roaring success: One week before the show all tickets were sold out with a waiting list of 180!
No other band has achieved the same at this venue - only singer Steve Hofmeyr.
The band has since been going strong.
On Saturday, 23 July at 21:00 you can join Calie (bass guitar), Freddie (keyboard), Fef (lead vocalist), Ben (rhythm guitar), Dean Bower (lead guitar) and André Scriven (drums) for the Tribute show at the Kalahari Restaurant and Theatre.
Tickets at R100 are available from Computicket and the theatre on 044 874 5000.
