GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - There are two Carpe Musicam! Choir and Orchestra concerts this weekend.
The choir and orchestra will be performing on Friday, 11 April, at 19:00 at George South Primary School in George and on Sunday, 13 April, at 15:30 in the Mossel Bay Town Hall.
They are called the Hallelujah! concerts and there are three concerts in the series to celebrate Carpe Musicam!'s 10th birthday.
The series of concerts had a good start in Sedgefield on 6 April in the NG Church Hall. There was only place for 260 people and the hall was packed.
The popular Garden Route orchestra and choir were on top form and the members of the capacity audience were on their feet, applauding on several occasions, according to Carpe Musicam! manager, pianist and choir trainer Elsabe Barkhuizen.
She says: "Catch this exciting, vibrant, yet tender-in-places musical wow-a-thon this weekend. Tickets are R150 for adults and R50 for learners and are available at www.carpemusicam.co.za."
There may be only a few tickets available at the door, as they are selling fast, she says.
