ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The fame train is undoubtedly a crazy ride – one minute you’re sky high and the world can’t get enough of you, the next, you’re considered ‘old news’ and bumped off the train.
Many celebrities are now doing the smart thing and transitioning into the business world.
And, quite a few of these ‘red carpet entrepreneurs’ have been mighty successful, making more from their venture than from acting.
Others have taken up relatively simple jobs and seem happier for it. Some choose to play in both fields and enjoy the best of both worlds.
Jessica Alba founded ‘The Honest Company’ which sells organic household products. Last year, it was valued at $1.7 billion (R22 billion).
Also keen to capitalise on the organic craze, Sarah Michelle Gellar started ‘Foodstirs’ – a lifestyle brand which produces baking products / cake mixes made from 100% organic ingredients.
