The ladies even go one step further, and that is to make one concentrate on the putting, we count the putts played and there are fines for three putting! This just adds an extra little challenge to one's powers of concentration for the day.
Gail Botha took the honours in the silver division, scoring a 69 net, with Annette Pretorius hot on her tail with an excellent 70 net. In the bronze division, Rita Wienand's 71 net was better than any other (Rita's golf has been showing a marked improvement recently... wonder what potion she's taking?) Liesel Wilson took second place with a net 76.
Ina 'nearest the pin', Swart once again snuck in closer than the rest of us. She is certainly making a habit of taking this prize! Needless to say, Ina converted to a two club, a feat which Madga Griessel also managed. The putting competition, which is also becoming a hotly contested item, was shared by Martie du Toit and Annette Pretorius, with a mere 28 putts each.
May's monthly medal winners, standing from left, are: Magda Griesel, Ina Swart, Martie du Toit and Annette Pretorius. Seated are Rita Wienand and Gail Botha.
