An ASA technical officials level 1 and 2 course was presented by Brandon du Plessis, from Boland Athletics, covering all aspects of track and field officiating.
30 officials participated in the two day course.
12 participants completed the assizing, electronic timing, race walking judging and starting courses, which were presented by Hendry Mathews (Boland), Kevin Arendse (Boland) and De Wet Kotze (Boland) were the official presenters.
Abrie de Swardt presented the theory module to the coaches levels 1 and 2 courses, covering all aspects and fundamentals of coaching. The practical sessions were coordinated between Desmond Prins (ASWD - Sprints Hurdles and Distant Races), Overton November (ASWD - Jumps) and Frank de Water (ASWD - Throws).
In total 23 level 1 and 6 level 2 coaches participated in the two-day course.
