MOSSEL BAY NEWS - On Tuesday, 19 May, the DA constituency of Mossel Bay made history by hosting the first ever ‘virtual’ town hall meeting.
In a media statement the Mossel Bay Municipality said it always strived to be abreast of the latest technology.
The special guests of the meeting were Western Cape Premier Alan Winde and DA national leader John Steenhuisen.
All DA councillors were given the opportunity to identify and invite people from their wards. The platform was Zoom. Concerned business owners were allowed to interact and ask questions in the meeting.
“We received positive feedback and are planning to continually make even more use of this technology,” the municipality media statement read.
The next virtual meeting is already planned for 9 June, with MEC Tertuis Simmers as the special guest.
