Exorcist to testify in beheading case

NATIONAL NEWS - An exorcist is to testify in the sentencing proceedings of a man convicted of murdering a 15-year-old boy in Ravensmead.

Correctional Services had approved the defence’s request to conduct an exorcism on convicted murderer Aljar Swartz.

Swartz's lawyer has told the court his client was possessed by demons.

It is on that basis that Sherif Mohammed asked the court for permission to have his client undergo an exorcism.

He planned to submit the video of the ritual as evidence in mitigation of sentence.
