MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Two young Mossel Bay athletes are safe and have been medically cleared following a head-on collision just outside Kroonstad yesterday, 6 March, while on their way to Benoni for the South African Sprint Triathlon Championships.
According to a post by Mossel Bay executive mayor Dirk Kotzé, Elih Cloete and Caleb Koeries, were in the crash. The post said they were hospitalised but are safe.
Caleb's mother Minerva Koeries said both athletes are safe and are on their way back to Mossel Bay after being medically cleared.
She said they would have competed in the champs tomorrow, 8 March.
Kotzé asked that the community keep Elih, Caleb, and their families in their thoughts and prayers.
