MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Garden Route SPCA has noted in a media statement that MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet cards owned by SPCA supporters have been helping the organisation for a number of years.
Every card holder who nominates the Garden Route SPCA as a beneficiary (you may have up to three beneficiaries) and then uses their card at one of the participating businesses is helping to raise funds for this worthy charity.
The Garden Route SPCA comprises the Mossel Bay and George branches of the SPCA.
The MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet cards are free and there are no charges for the cardholder.
The Garden Route SPCA needs to build a new kennel block urgently and there are insufficient kennels.
MySchool "swipes" will definitely help boost the funds being raised for this project as well as any other ongoing and future projects to uplift the lives of animals and the people who own them in poorer areas.
"If you have a card please consider adding the GR SPCA to your beneficiaries," it was requested in the media statement. Simply go to www.myschool.co.za/supporter/update/ and update your profile.
If you don't yet have one of these free cards, go to www.myschool.co.za/supporter/apply and sign up and activate your card.
You can also call 0860 100 445 or go to Woolworths and get your application form. Otherwise, simply download the MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet app and go cardless.
There are other apps that sound similar so ensure you get the correct one.
Get the free app on Google Store or the Apple app store.
Link your Woolworths card to your MySchool card and get extra discounts on specials at Woolies. To link your card, contact the Woolworths client service centre (0860 100 445 or email cs@myschool.co.za).
By using your MySchool card every time you shop at any one of the nationwide retail partners (such as Woolies, Engen, Loot.co.za, Waltons and Flight Centre) a percentage of each transaction is given back to your chosen school or charity. Note the local participating businesses where you can also use your card: Jack's Paint, Mugg & Bean, Supa Quick, Mosskem Pharmacy, One Stop Wimpy, Foto First and Fanie's Pharmacy
Stores such as Woolworths always ask customers if they have a MySchool card, but if staff at other participating stores forget, do remind them and support the GR SPCA.
