MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Police Station was recently crowned as best decorated in a competition organised by neighbourhood watches and Community Policing Forums (CPFs) in Mossel Bay to spread the festive cheer.
The Mossel Bay Police Station is located in George Road, Mossel Bay.
Each of the four police stations in Mossel Bay decorated their Community Services Centres (CSCs), not only for the benefit of police officials, but also as a way of welcoming visitors with the Christmas spirit.
Determining which station was decorated the best created a bit of friendly competition between the KwaNonqaba, Mossel Bay, Da Gamaskop and Great Brak River Police Stations.
Singer Jannie Moolman also joined in on the fun, serving as a judge in the competition.
Deidre Swanepoel of the Mossel Bay CPF previously told Mossel Bay Advertiser that the idea of decorating all the police stations’ CSCs came from the Mossel Bay Police Station’s commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ashley Michaels.
Decorating began as early as 29 November.
The KwaNonqaba station was the first of the four to get its festive season make-over, with the help of the Dana Bay Neighbourhood watch, complete with some tinsel, lights and a Christmas tree.
