MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Life Bay View Private Hospital is still currently on temporary capacity divert.
This is according to regional manager, Riaan Croucamp.
"The situation at the hospital remains much the same as last week."
Croucamp says elective surgeries have been further reduced at the hospital to try to reduce the demand for beds and employees required in surgical wards.
However, maternity cases and cardiac emergencies are still being accommodated.
He says all patients at the emergency unit are being treated and transferred as necessary.
"Our hospital management team members remain in constant contact with one another, with the Covid doctor commitee and other private healthcare facilities."
Croucamp says the hospital appeals to everyone to continue to act with caution. "Wearing masks properly to cover the nose and mouth is critical, as well as is keeping social distance and regular hand sanitising. These should be part of everyone's normal daily practices."
