MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The murder trial for three men accused of attacking and killing 31-year-old Chivago Fillies in June last year, has been set for the Mossel Bay Regional Court in March next year.
Fillies, a resident of Extension 13, Mossel Bay, was attacked in Grunter Street, Extension 13, in the early hours of Saturday, 29 June.
He was beaten and hit over the head several times with a wooden pole. He died in hospital as a result of his injuries the following day, 30 June.
The three accused, Jemandry Braaff (20), Aubrey-Junior Nickleo Mentoor (19) and Ushere Apdol (19) were arrested the day of Fillies' death and charged with his murder.
They were granted bail of R2 000 each in July last year.
The three appeared in the Mossel Bay Regional Court on Tuesday morning, when their trial date was set.
The murder trial is expected to take place from 23 to 25 March next year. Their bail has been extended until the scheduled date of their court appearance.
