Update: Outeniqua Pass closure
Huge rocks strewn across the tar.
GEORGE NEWS - Both lanes of the Outeniqua Pass will be closed for at least the next 10 to 14 days.

This is according to Mr Gerhard Otto of Eden Disaster Management after another rockfall in the pass this morning.

The only alternative route between Oudtshoorn and George remains via the Robinson Pass.

The Montagu Pass should only be seen as a one lane emergency access.
