MOSSEL BAY NEWS - On Monday 18 June Power Construction will be starting with the reconstruction of the DR 1578 Road from the chicken farm down to the entrance of Rheebokstene.
This section of road will be reconstructed in half widths so there will be a stop/go system in place 24 hours a day.
This will be in place until 13 December. This will affect traffic as heavy-duty vehicles will be driving through Reebok, Fraaiuitsig and Great Brak River.
The contractor will be controlling the traffic at the chicken farm with a stop/go on the Freimersheim to Great Brak road for to safety reasons.
Sight distance is limited here and it is essential that vehicles are controlled at this intersection as vehicles turning onto the DR 1578 half width will be stacking up on this road.
