MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Gift of the Givers is providing relief to communities suffering without food and suffering other effects of the looting in KwaZulu-Natal.

Ali Sablay of Gift of the Givers, said on behalf of the organisation's founder, Dr Imtiaz Sooliman: "We have put our entire machinery into action, despite severe restrictions on safe mobility, to respond to the crisis."

He noted: "Corporates, individuals and communities have come forward to support a rescue plan drafted by Gift of the Givers, which will be announced at an appropriate time."

Sablay said: "For now, intervention is financial only, to protect 'full' warehouses from being targeted by looters.
