MOSSEL BAY NEWSFLASH - "Enough is enough. The violence - especially against women and children - must stop," Mossel Bay executive mayor, Alderman Harry Levendal, has stressed.
He said this as he signed a pledge of no violence against women and children at the monthly council meeting on Thursday.
“From this day forward, I promise to be a part of the solution in ending violence against women, children and all gender-based violence,” alderman Harry Levendal said before leading the council and executive management of the Mossel Bay municipality in signing the pledge.
Council resolved that August be proclaimed White Ribbon Month in Mossel Bay and every resident, especially men, are encouraged to wear a white ribbon in support.
Councillor Stanford Mbandezi signs the pledge against violence against women, children and all gender-based violence.
