Man who crashed into wall in court after lockdown

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 25-year-old man from Mossel Bay who was arrested following a car chase through the streets of Tarka has been summoned to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrates court in August.

Police spokesperson, Captain Wollie Fourie says the suspect will appear in court after the national lockdown.

The man was arrested recently after he sped off with the police members in close pursuit. He lost control off the vehicle and collided with an outside wall of the Life Bayview Hospital in Mossel Bay.

The suspect faces charges of reckless and negligent driving as well as contravening the Disaster Management Act Covid-19 Regulations.
