MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Members of the Mossel Bay Visual Arts group enjoyed a get together at Marguerite Art Café in Market Street on Saturday, 20 January.
The social was an opportunity for those on the group to share ideas and chat.
The group has from from six to almost 60 artists and those interested in art over the past year.
Some of the artists shared artists' trading cards (ATCs). These are miniature artworks - the size of business cards - which artists share with one another as a means of promoting their work.
Thankful
A spokesperson for the group, Riska du Plessis, said: "We are thankful to every person who came out to socialise and make new friends in the Mossel Bay Visual Arts community.
"The feedback we received was positive and everyone had a wonderful time, connecting with like-minded creatives.
"We are planning to host more of these, once a month, giving our art community a chance to deepen their relationships, collaborate and inspire one another.
Community
"All art was meant for community and we are happy to be able to convene this new movement in Mossel Bay."
The group is in the process of creating a Facebook page. For more information, contact Maresna (082 678 9436) or Riska (073 909 6558).
