1 million hits for local rock group song

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Rockgroup Van Konings could hardly believe their eyes this weekend when their song, Take me Higher reached 1 million views.

The video was released online 10 weeks ago and in less than two weeks, already did remarkably well reaching more than 200 000 views.

“Initially I thought, if we get 50 000 views, I’d be quite please, but this is awesome,” lead singer and song writer, Leon van Rensburg told the Mossel Bay Advertiser today, 7 December.

The song was recorded and produced by Darryl de Lange and Wessel van Heerden, digital coordinator of Group Editors who was responsible for the video recording and production.

The musicians are based in Mossel Bay and the actors used during the video production are members of the public from both Mossel Bay and George.
