MOSSEL BAY RUGBY NEWS - The Mossel Bay town council, at their monthly council meeting, approved a rugby festival to be held at the D’Almeida Stadium on 12 May.
The festival is an initiative of the SA Rugby Union and Supersport to take provincial rugby to the people.
Fans will be pleased that entrance to the event is free of charge.
SWD Rugby Union has decided that the match between SWD Arende and Zimbabwe, as well as the game between the Free State Cheetahs and Eastern Province, will be on offer. Club matches between the Barbarians Rugby Club and George Rugby Club will be part of the festival.
The provincial matches and the matches between the first teams of the respective clubs will be televised on Supersport.
All arrangements regarding the rugby festival will be dealt with jointly by the SWD Rugby Union, the Barbarians Rugby Club, and the Mossel Bay Municipality. Mossel Bay Municipality will support the festival financially.
