Its executive council meets in Cape Town today where that particular decision is to be confirmed and will then present the ‘preferred candidate’s’ name to the organisation’s full sitting of its General Council tomorrow for approval.
With Allister Coetzee still the outstanding favourite for the post, it’s not expected that President Oregan Hoskins will formally name Meyer’s replacement tomorrow rather just say that they’ve secured their man.
Coetzee is currently contracted to the Kobe Steelers in Japan.
