MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The South African Deep Sea Angling Association’s (Sadsaa) Coastal Bottom Fish Interprovincial Championship is currently under way in St Francis Bay.
This prestigious event sees anglers from across South Africa competing in one of the country’s key bottom-fishing disciplines, targeting coastal species in a highly competitive format.
The competition began on Tuesday 19 May and will continue to tomorrow, 23 May.
St Francis Bay is expected to provide favourable offshore conditions as the provincial teams battle it out for honours and overall standings.
Sadsaa confirmed that the event forms part of its structured national angling calendar, showcasing both team and individual skills in coastal bottom fishing along the South African coastline.
Mossel Bay is also represented with pride by resident Kabous Oosthuizen, who serves as captain of the Southern Cape team.
