MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Eden surfers made their presence felt in the GromSearch national surfing competition at Victoria Bay, near George yesterday.
Five surfers from Eden are taking part. In the U18 boys’ round one, heat one, Blake Crankshaw came first and David de Necker, fourth.
In the U16 boys’ round two, heat two Destin de Necker came third and Nathan van der Griendt, fourth.
Blake Crankshaw came second and Kane Johnstone of Mossel Bay, third in the U16 boys’ round two, heat four.
Lazard de Bruyn came fourth in the U12 semi-final.
Today, in the quarterfinal heat one for U18 boys Blake Crankshaw came third and in the quarterfinal heat two, he came fourth.
The GromSearch is still in full swing today.
