Matric paper marking complete – examiners

NATIONAL NEWS - Marking has already been completed for both the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) and the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations and matriculants are on track to receive their results on December 31 and January 6 respectively.

Provincial education spokesman Loyiso Pulumani said: “Marking has been concluded. The last of the markers have left the centres and returned home.

“The chief markers are finalising administrative issues and other human resources matters like the processing of payments.”

He said there were 91 810 fulltime and 19 102 part-time candidates registered in the province and marking had taken place at 18 centres.

“Marking went by without a problem and we did not lose a single day,” Pulumani said.
