NATIONAL NEWS - The man who killed three-year-old Cuburne van Wyk in Reiger Park exactly a year ago has been sentenced to life in prison.

Van Wyk was lured with biscuits a year ago and his partially burned body was discovered on a mine dump site on the East Rand.

Nathaniel Mpoku was also sentenced to 10 years for kidnapping which will run concurrently with his life sentence for murdering the boy.

Judge George Maluleke said Mpoku showed no remorse for what he did, which made him doubt he would be able to be rehabilitated.
