Metrobus suspends services amid strike

NATIONAL NEWS - Metrobus says a strike that began on Friday is continuing this morning and there has been a complete service shut-down.

This means there are no buses operating along Metrobus’s 229 routes in and around Johannesburg.

The company’s spokesperson, Esther Dreyer, said that there were numerous issues in dispute and that the service has been suspended for the safety of passengers and non-striking drivers.

"This morning there are no buses running and the situation outside the offices is basically the same as it was on Friday. We advise passengers to make use of alternative transport."
