MOTORING NEWS AND VIDEO - During the month of August something surreal is happening at Tavcor George. Prospective buyers will be able to test drive the new Volkswagen T-Cross even though it will only be launched in September.

Seems impossible? Well, no. With technology everything is possible.

Tavcor George is just one of five dealerships in the country whose show room will boast a futuristic virtual reality setup this month where you can see and experience the T-Cross, although it is not yet on the floor.

After donning the virtual reality headset, you can change the colour, experience what it’s like to be inside the car, see and adjust the specs - all with the simplest of hand gestures. You even experience packing the boot - don't forget your golf clubs!

The best of all is the virtual test drive. You get in behind the wheel and off you go. The experience is so ultra real that when you return from your virtual world, reality seems a bit mundane. It could of course also be that the T-Cross is just so sublime that all else pales in comparison.

But, go for a virtual drive and decide for yourself.
