MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Carpe Musicam! is giving two concerts in the Mossel Bay area during August. The first, on Sunday, 6 August, is titled Let's Celebrate Women!
Women's Day is on 9 August and August is Women's Month.
The concert, which will be performed by the Carpe Musican! Quartet, will take place in the community hall, 11 De Jager Road, Reebok, and will start at 15:00.
Helene van Zyl Smith (violin), Mariaan Basson (clarinet), Elsabe Barkhuizen (piano) and Norman Carless (flute, trumpet, flügel horn, French horn and recorder) will be performing.
The concert forms part of the Mossel Bay Arts Festival and there will be a special festival ticket price: R100 for adults and R50 for under 18s. Tickets are available at www. carpemusicam.co.za or for cash at the door.
The second concert, by the Carpe Musicam! Orchestra, Choir and Youth Orchestra, takes place on Sunday, 20 August, in the Mossel Bay Town Hall.
