MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Not even the pouring rain could dampen the spirits of excited Grade 1s and Grade Rs on their first day of big school at Garden Route Primary School today, 15 January.
Proud parents guided their cheerful little ones to their classrooms this morning and watched as they settled in, chatting, laughing and making new friends.

While most of the children showed great excitement about starting the school year, there were one or two sad faces, and some tears shed.
The school has about 130 Grade 1s and 120 Grade Rs starting this year.
