GREAT BRAK RIVER NEWS - A 21-year-old pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle at Rheeboksfontein near Great Brak River in the early hours of Sunday 5 July.
According to police, the incident occurred at about 02:00.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Chris Spies said officers responded to the scene, where they found a Chevrolet bakkie and the pedestrian, who had sustained multiple injuries.
Paramedics declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.
A culpable homicide case has been opened for investigation.
No arrests have been made.
